Does the PAC OEM-1 provide power to the factory amp...I installed it and the radio sounds horrible.
You may want to double-check if the BLUE-WHITE wire from radio was connected to the BLUE wire on the PAC ROEM-VET1. If it was wired "blue-white" to "blue-white" instead, your door subwoofer amps will not turn on, resulting in no real bass.
As far as I know it's whole purpose is to power the factory Bose system so that you are not having to start over from scratch.
I installed that the PAC box and while it's not great, I don't think it's any worse than the factory sound. I also adjusted nothing on the box.
I've read a few articles online and on YouTube with suggestions on adjusting the PAC box and it does sound like a total PITA to get right.
Is it similar to a line level converter? I had to run one of those in my Mom's Pathfinder when I pulled out her Bose HU probably 10 years ago. I spent a bit of time playing with each of the screws and in the end got a real decent sound out of it.
Thnx 2 all for your responses..I think I got the blue to th blue/white connected....I'll reinstall tday
As I mentioned above in Post 3, the correct wiring is BLUE-WHITE from radio to BLUE on the PAC ROEM-VET1. You probably meant you got blue-white to blue-white and that's why the subwoofer amps were not turning on, right?
