Hey All, first time Corvette owner and new to the forum. I just bought a C5 and the seats aren't great. I take that back, they are awesome, just worn out. They have the sliding problem, rocking problem, the power control bezels are both broken off, and the leather is shot. Should I rebuild/recover them, or replace them? The center armrest also needs replaced. If I go replacement route I would like exact replacement OEM seats with the same color combo - any recommendations for a supplier? Thanks all.
I replaced the seat foam, added a pad between the foam and wires to preserve the new foam (not sure how this issues wasn't foreseen in design) and fixed the sliding issue in both of my seats. In my case, the leather was in great shape. A bit of labor but not many $s. If I was in you situation, with the leather being shot, I may consider after market options or used set in good shape. I've seen pics of reskinned seats many show a good amount of loose fabric/pucker when complete...you can even see it in the pics in the web site linked above. Congrats on the new car. What color is the interior? Black seats come available in the for sale section rather consistently.

You can find replacement seat covers and foam from forum vendors (one mentioned above), rocking seat fix materials and bezel parts from vendors. I would also check the Parts for Sale section for seats or parts for seats and the center console cover.
Ya that is kind of the way I was leaning, thanks for the advice. The seats are gray, and the center console is black/gray combo. The interior is black/gray so black seats might work, but would rather keep it as original as possible.

Thanks for all the advice, I think I am going to take the seats out this weekend and check them out. They are pretty worn, I think I may just look for used OEM seats in good shape.
Getting ready for a light restoration of my 1999 convertible interior within the next few months. I'll be removing my black seats to address the same issues. Plan is to re-use both original seat covers, replace both bottom cushions, fix the half working power seat motor and correct the back & forth rocking on drivers side. Also replacing my worn looking console and cracked radio bezel with stock parts I've procured form a low mileage 2004. Installing a C6 shifter **** also.
