Rocking Seat - Gone?
So here's a weird one -
I had a rocking driver's side seat that I've been putting off fixing. I have a bad feeling I cross-threaded one of the rear bolts for the seat when I had it out a few weeks ago to rebuild the bottom cushion, and I just have been dreading proving myself right.
Soooo - the other day I'm driving along, and the seat pops, and the rear of the seat drops back a little. I readjust that, and notice my seat no longer slides back and forth on the rails except when I want it too. Basically, it's all working as it should somewhat magically.
However, I don't particularly believe in spontaneous divine intervention in matter automotive, so I'm more inclined to ask what probably broke, haha. Anyone ever have anything like this happen?

My driver's seat had bent brackets and a broken clevis, and had dug a groove into the carpet. I'm wondering if you lost a bracket or clevis, and now something is digging into the carpet and holding the rock at bay. For now.
