I recently had Borla Touring Mufflers installed and find them to just about as quiet as the stock ones. Is there a way to open up the sound a little (short of replacing them)?
Hey Shaggy- Go figure.... I just installed the Borla S Cat Back and I think it's too loud. You just got the Touring and it's too quiet. Wish we were closer, we could trade.
Right! I wanted a rumble at idle but, didn't want it to blast me out of the car. It's just to quiet. Maybe I'm to used to the Flomasters I had on my last Vette. There's got to be a way to get a little more noise out of these. Somewhere between these and the Borla Atak would be great.
The S type is between the Touring and the Atak. They are not really that loud, you might like it. They do have the popping on deceleration that I'd rather not have. But that's the price you pay for straight though mufflers. The quad 4" tips look really good. Definitely a deeper tone too. Do you have the popping sound on deceleration with the Touring Mufflers?
No to popping. Quite honestly I can't hear much difference between stock and touring. Like the look (4" tips). Just not happy with the sound. I would love the Wild to Mild sound of the later C-6's. Don't want to spend that kind of $$$. Id love to be able to modify these Borla mufflers . Dave
I have the Borla Attack and it is quite aggressive, God knows what this would sound like with Long Tubes. Pull them and sell them and get what you want.
I just installed new Borla "Stingers" on my '02 from ZIP Corvette Products. Great fit..........perfect 60s muscle car sound. Not too loud not too quiet no unpleasant drone.
