Yes. They were painted in glossy black- doesn’t look like there’s a clear on top to protect so I may get wrapped in protection film- may not depending on the price. They should be considered wear items like splitters and will suffer the effects of road debris. If they look damaged after a couple of years either wrap them or replace. With the mounting holes already drilled it should not be a big deal.
The wheels are the standard 2001 Alcoa cast factory painted in Argent Gray or Metallic Gray same as the other years with Speedlines. I have read they appear darker but I cannot comment- the pictures were taken near dusk so maybe that is the effect.
Your skirts look great and I'm looking to put the Carbon ZR's on my C5 and was wondering what type rivets your C7's came with and/or was recommended for the job. With the design of the ZR's being about a hollow inch thick, did you have to use 1 1/4 or 1 1/2 length rivets or screws as to now squeeze the skirts up as you attached them?. Just looking to get the right lengths before I squeeze the skirts.
Appreciate any feedback on the attachment of the skirts to the car or secrets you may have learned.
C7 Carbon shipped rivets for the job. They require drilling into the rocker an wheel opening. If I remember correctly there are like 12 per side. Make sure you have a great rivet tool that can handle the SS river- my HF cheapy didn’t cut it and I had to borrow a Snap-On from my brother. I used double sided tape to hold it in place and a couple of speed screws to make sure I was happy with the location. Then drill and rivet away. The first hole into my perfect Z was hard- after that there’s no looking back. Rivets are the way to go to ensure the best connection and safety. Best of luck- you will figure it out and it will be great. I did mine solo but a second set of hands would have made it easier.
Side skirts look great on your car. Those are on my bucket list. You might want to consider lowering your car on stock bolts. Free mod and it will improve your performance. I'd lower the front end all the way, even the sides out (left to right) and then put in about a 1/4" of rake to the rear. Keep the wheels!

just in case you weren't sure,
a sharp eye will easily pick out the differences between the '01 and '02-04 wheels.
The '01 wheels are Forged Alcoas, a one year only offering, a more "blue" looking silver, and have slightly sharper edges to them.
the '02+ are spun cast Speedlines which are a slightly lighter shade of silver (in my eyes, less "blue" than the alcoas) with a rounder edge.
