Default The REAL reason every C5 needs a short shifter:
Is to allow the driver to shift gears while holding their drink in place with the same hand

I could only imagine punching the cup with a stock floppy d!ck shifter going into 5th or reverse LOL.

I wouldn't say every manual C5 needs a short throw shifter, but I would say they all need an aftermarket shifter...

I went the cheap way and got the $50 dual cup holder for the passenger foot well area. Was cheaper than a shifter. But then I realized for some utterly asinine reason I bought a plastic $50 cup holder
