If I didn't pull my calipers off for powder coating, I would have just left the old rubber lines and just bled the system, I went forward with DRM Goodridge stainless steel lines, great feel and am glad I did.

Many great opinions are given, thanks to all of you.

On the street, here's no real difference in performance between the two. If you notice a difference, there was an issue before hand, and now you simply solved it. The heat generated when on the track is where the stainless shines. Also, rubber slowly goes bad over time, giving you a mushy pedal and the ability to inspect for damage. Stainless looks great until the day of the all out fail. -and dust and debris can get in the braided outer lining and cause premature wear. I wouldn't want to daily stainless lines. -although obviously many people do it without issue. Still....I prefer rubber and have never had an issue.

I used to start with line furthest away (Right Rear) and then work my way closer and closer until my last brake bled was the Left Front. On the track my brakes were always spongy until I read the manual. It says to first bleed the Right Rear, then Left Front, 3rd Left Rear and then last Right Front. Now brakes don't get spongy until after the first lap. Corvette brakes suck. My VW brakes are better. I digress.

I replaced mine with DRM braided hoses that use AN fittings instead of the banjo fittings for a better more reliable seal. There basically just modified Goodridge hoses which are very high quality. They will far outlast the rubber hoses, provide firmer brake feel and added safety.

Okay I made the decision and went ahead and ordered a set of Russell braided stainless steel brake hoses. I figured $121.00 isn't to much to pay for peace of mind.
