Corvette as a Healing Tool
My wife and I lost our beloved Silky Terrier over the weekend. Anyone who has has a pet certainly understands the grief you go through and the sudden empty space in your heart when they're gone.
I took some therapy by riding my motorcycle for a long morning ride yesterday. When I got home, the convertible C5 was gone with a text from my wife, "had to go for a drive and try to make some sense of this. The Corvette helps".

Sorry for your loss. Ours recently passed unexpectedly, at a young age, the week I was supposed to purchase my first C5. Unfortunately, even the new Vette couldn't lift my spirits for a while.

There is no comfort in the loss of a pet. Its the harsh reality of the life cycle. The emptiness in the heart takes time to heal, but it will heal and you can then go out and make the life of another animal part of your family.. My wife and I are both animal rescue volunteers.
I can empathize with your loss. WE have lost both cats an dogs over our 51 years old marriage. It never gets easy.
I do feel your pain

Sorry for your loss and yes, the Corvette can be theraputic when it comes to a need for lifting your spirits.

I’ve lost several pets over the years and it has never gotten easier. In my case the pain only subsided after getting a new pet and then watching how they bond to you. But li can see how driving can take your mind off of the pain, anything that requires you to concentrate would help. Good luck

My chow/retriever mix( Malex) left this world about a year ago-he was almost 18 yrs old -- I rescued him when he was 9 months old and wild as hell. In the later years he was a wonderfully mellow dog, always by my side listening to whatever I had to complain about that day and was one of the best friends I will ever have. After quite a while my wife and I decided to get another dog to help keep her little 3 yr old female matipoo(Maycee) company. I wasn't too thrilled with the idea because there would never be another dog like Malex but succumbed to the idea. Well along came Murphee, another maltipoo(male) and it wasn't long before he wiggled himself into our hearts. It was amusing watching Maycee showing Murphee the ropes that Malex had taught her.... And the weird part is the many things that Murphee ( who is now over a year old ) does that Malex used to do and the places he likes to lie that Malex favored. It's like part of Malex is still here. He was supposed to be white but oddly enough he has a tan streak from his head to his tail (Malex's color) and he is happy to sit and listen to me complain. The point is that although we can't hold on to our four-legged friends forever there is always another pup that needs someone to love and care for them and I'm glad that Murphee is in our lives-- and I know that Malex would have wanted it that way. I'm sorry for your loss...

My deepest sympathies for your loss. It is heart-wrenching and always seems so unfair when they are taken from us so soon. God bless and heal your souls. Know that your little one is now with all of our other little departed furry family members.

Sorry for your loss, the loss of a pet is always devastating. For what it’s worth I can identify. One or my wife and I’s cats passed days before I purchased my C5.
while nothing can replace a dear our lost family member, it did help to distract us a little. His name was Ben, and he was the most friendly lovable giant fat orange cat you’d ever meet.
I’m glad to hear your C5 is proving to be therapeutic.

Despite ‘growing pains’ my sister and I both look at our pets as angels on earth. You can’t replace them, they just leave a part of them in your heart, and they are the last ones who would want to see you suffer. Very sorry about losing your pal.

I too can relate, we had a boxer for 12 years who passed and even the bike and vette didn't help, reason is dogs are in reality so much better than people, always happy to see ya and always grateful for the attention. Whats the saying I wish I could be the person my dog thinks I am, so true, sorry for your loss,

Fully get where you're coming from. Have had many dogs over the years, many that I held while being put down for medical reasons. I have one more left, a 13 year old little Morkie, Maltese-Yorkie. Once he's gone I'm done, no more pets. It's just too hard watching them go. I'll cherish all the fun times and, occasionally, not so fun times I've had with them, along with the companionship they've provided during some trying times! They truly are man's best friend...
