Rebuilt vs New Starter TYC

Anyone have any experience with a new TYC (Chinese) starter for C5 Corvette?

I put an AC Delco one on mine and was very happy with it. No experience on that otherwise.

Not for me, I learned that it's better to get OEM. A little more $ but it has a dealer warranty.

FWIW, I installed this starter 3 plus years ago with about 30 k miles ( I also have headers) works fantastic !!

Although not on my Corvette I have purchased and installed several Chinese starters on Chevy motors in marine applications. For friends on a budget I have replaced them more than once on the same motor leading me to believe they are low quality and not rebuildable. I wouldn't put one on my C5 unless I was planning to sell it very soon.

After buying a Bosch that needed shimming I rebuilt my starter,, I used was very happy with there quality, delivery and service.
