Hello. I have gotten great advice from this forum that included getting an expert in the model of Corvette I’m interested in buying to do a thorough inspection before purchasing. I plan to follow that good advice. What I’m wondering is how do I go about finding a reliable inspector/appraiser in a specific area of the country. Right now I’m mostly interested in the southwest, specifically north of Las Vegas. Thanks for any help. Gary
Realistically, the inspection and the appraisal are two different items. The inspection requires mechanical expertise and the appraisal is more of a business decision. North of Las Vegas can be a pretty desolate area for a number of miles so you might want to be more specific. I know there are some pretty good dealers in Las Vegas.

Thanks for your reply. The car is in St. George, UT
I am a little familiar with St. George and you are sort of isolated. I know Findlay has a presence there and does a healthy Corvette business in Las Vegas. Perhaps one of their stores could help you with value knowledge through their Las Vegas Chevy store? Maybe speak with the Used Car Manager. The local Chevrolet dealer should be able to do an inspection.
I'm doing my best to learn what to look for on my own. Since my search will be nationwide, there's no telling where I might find the car for me, and trying to find someone last minute to do the inspection for me is going to be difficult to say the least...
When I was looking I always used a zip code close to the location of the vehicle that was for sale and plugged it into NADA. I have found them to be the best resouce among Kelly, Edmunds etc.
