When I got my c5 the Lexan top was painted In a very poor attempt to look like carbon fiber . I had it painted gloss black . As you can imagine it radiated a lot of heat into the interior . I couldn't convince myself to spend up to 100$ or more for a head liner . So after a couple years of putting up with it I finally did one myself . Using some aggressive 2 sided tape from the label dept at work , some what I call foil covered bubble wrap ( had some from a previous project ) and a piece of black vinyl for 14 bucks . I think it came out pretty darn good if I say so myself .sorry the pic's are not very good .
with one layer of insulation the outside temp was 190 inside the insulation temp was 50 degrees lower . I put 2 layers of 3/16 in . Tomorrow I will set it in the sun and check it again .
