I've owned four C5s and I never noticed that any of them used oil between changes.

Thanks, I think I'm an less worried about it than I was this morning, but still concerend, so I am going to attempt to track it down. It may not have a lot of miles, but it is older and I'm fairly sure it spent some time sitting before I bought it, so I am going to give it a good once-over.

Ditto for me too, 20 years...

A lot has to do with how it’s driven, pretty sure I could make every one of the “mine uses no oil between oil changes” use some given the chance......

On the track maybe. But as an ex auto industry chassis and suspension development engineer, believe me, my car is not babied.

your cars couplers probably don’t look like these, the bottom one is a high performance poly coupler from DSS, Compared to this your car may be treated better than mine....just saying

My car is a vert, never seen a track but sees high rpms all the time....both the built supercharged 383 in it now and the stock 350 used oil between changes. I know it’s my beating on it.....

If your car isn’t an ‘01Z06 it shouldn’t use oil.

All ls engines use oil. The harder you run it the more it uses. 2 quarts (maybe slightly more) in 3k miles hard use is typical.
