So im changing my map sensor, and removed intake and noticed my gaskets are below the actual intake port all of them that cant be normal? Here are the before and after..
Top pic looks a little compressed, bottom pic looks pretty normal to me. Those things get compressed over time. I'd replace them, they're only about $20 for a new set.
That bottom pic looks fine, that's normal. I'd have been more concerned about the top pic.....there was no material left protruding. That would have been less likely to seal.
My gaskets weren't even touching the head..i immediately noticed my idel is smooth. i still need to drive and let the fuel trims relearn its just to dam hot! I was changing my map sensor when i stumbled across this! my newly installed wideband went rich at part throttle and lost power...
