The post below seems to have used 3/16", but my recollection is that it is a little smaller, like 1/8". As I recall, the plastic "straw" is closer to 1/8" and I used 1/8" vacuum hose to extend mine.

In the next post below, you will see a comment by Bill Curlee to purchase a nylon vacuum repair kit from Autozone or Advance Auto Parts, very good advise.

This is good advice. Did this a short while ago while upgrading intake. Extended it and use an elbow fitting. Tube is so small. - smaller than a cofffe stirrer you’d get from a coffee shop.

I just replaced everything up to the firewall while tidying things up. 3/16 Hose and a zip tie work fine. Plus they give you a bunch of meat so you don't have to worry about it wearing through anywhere.

You can purchase a pack of tubing and some connectors at autozone in the vacuum section. I think it is 3/16
