Replace the bulbs with LEDs when you get it out. Or get a unit that has been already converted for about $150.00 exchange.

When you start jostling the head unit around, several of the original bulb filaments are most likely going to fail. You can make your life very easy and send it to Travis at Vettronics. He uses the right bulbs (many people are instructing a bulb to buy but I measured resistance and they pull more current run much hotter and can ruin the film in the buttons or the buttons themselves.) You can find him on the auction site and he has excellent reviews. That is who I used. I've repaired one. You're going to need the bulbs, solder sucker for the bulbs, and be very careful that the little resistors don't fall off the board - you'll see what I mean. It's not hard if you've done basic electronics but if you have never done this, just send it to him and for $49.00 you'll get it done right with a lifetime warranty.

Www.c5led.com has a lot of lighting upgrades. Did an amazing job on mine. One of the best interior mods I have done. I put in Led in all my interior lights as well as footwells and trunk. Communication was great. 2day service. Just my 2cents
