I have a 2002 black convertible top that is starting to show some very minor wear on the rear sides where the folds up when it's stowed. I looking to bring the black color back and I was wondering what other members have used to help restore the black color. I have tried Raggtop both cleaner and protectant with no change. Anyone have any recommendations on what to use ?
Chadwicks spray works good on the top and Alcantera as well.
I looked at Chadwicks home page and they don't show anything for fabric type convertible tops. What is Alcantera ? I'm needing something that will cover of the slight scuff marks maybe a paste type black shoe polish ?????
Mike, Alcantara is the suede-like fabric that is often used on portions of a vehicle's interior. Very similar to Ultrasuede. As to your color restoration, sorry I can't help. I could make a couple of WAGs, but I have no idea if they were helpful or would make your situation worse. You might try inquiring with a local upholstery shop or a business that does ragtop replacements. Good luck.

Here's the standard Chadwicks spray that works on black convertable tops: https://www.chadwickstripleplay.com/...s-triple-play/. You might have to use the Ragtop cleaner again to remove the Ragtop protectant first. E-mail Neil Chadwick and ask if you're unsure, he'll reply.
