I also have 5 cars counting the Vette so I like to think of a drive in it on a sunny Sunday a reward for a hard weeks work--sort of a cleansing of the soul, so to speak. But it also pains me a little to see a "what could be nice" Corvette covered with road filth, bird crap and whatever else the environment can throw at it. A Corvette deserves better than that. It is in a different class of vehicle than a Honda Accord or Rav4 etc... Let's try and show a little respect for what is and always has been-- "America's Sportscar". I've had mine for over six years now and I avg around 2500 miles a year on it. It has only been washed twice ( wiped down before & after a drive w/either Chadwicks or Ultimate W&W ) and from what I have seen around here it is one of the nicest C5's in town- and I prefer to keep it that way.
Besides that, every minute that you spend on a highway ups your chances that you won't make it back home unscathed whether it be a careless shopper in a parking lot, a pothole you could live in or worst of all some idiot paying more attention to their cell phone rather than the wide butt end of your Vette sitting patiently at a stoplight. So, I take my Subaru Outback out to do battle on a daily basis and I leave my Vette safely tucked away under a cover with a battery tender waiting to treat me with a little more soul cleansing.

Do you enjoy driving one of those other 4 more than your C5? You might have "no need", but what if you "wanted" to drive it daily because of enjoyment?
I thoroughly enjoy driving my C5Z every day, just sucks that it adds 50mi/day to the ODO. I have another car (Audi B5 S4 Avant 6MT, 220k miles) that I enjoy daily driving as well, but it's currently under the knife. When they're both running it's a crapshoot as to which car I commute with... but generally I try to put equal miles on them.
I actually do, each of my other cars bring a smile to my face all on their own....my Mini Clubman S is like driving a go kart, and is pretty damn quick on it own. My Audi Q7 with the 4.2 V8 is also a blast to drive, does not handle like the C5 or the Mini but has some get up and go and sounds great, also have an HHR SS, another fun car to drive and finally my stock 1930 Ford Model A, number matching completely original car....a real blast jumping out of the Vette and into this 40 HP machine.
