I went with Frost King duct insulation in my wife's car and it made a huge difference. Foil on one side, adhesive on the other. Only about 1/8" thick so no problem reinstalling your panels.
I put it on the tunnel of my Corvette and it's not burning up anymore. This fall, I'm going to put on the interior and back.
Don't use the Peel N Seal because it has asphalt in it.

Where did you buy the FrostKing adhesive backed? I've been to Lowes and HomeDepot looking for the adhesive backed version and they look at me like I have 3 heads...
