I have 03, how can you tell if your shocks are performing properly? I can switch btw Tour & Sport and feel no difference. It also scraps going into driveways and speed bumps. Any suggestions?
Thanks as always
Has the car been lowered? Check the front leaf spring and make sure it isn’t cracked. I had a 2003 that was scraping every time I hit a speed bump or entered or exited a driveway. Found out my front leaf spring was cracked which lowered the front end. Had it replaced and didn’t have the problem again.

Thanks for you help. That might the solution since I just removed the stuffers last year after being in for 15+ years. That could have damaged the leaf spring.
When you say it scrapes, is it the air dam dragging or the metal skid bars (fangs)? You'll scrape the air dam before the skid bars. My 04 is stock height and will scrape the air dam on speed bumps, and if I don't enter and exit my driveway at an angle (driveway is pretty level with the street, maybe 10-15 degree drop into the street) it will drag the air dam. There is a subtle difference between sport and tour on the F55 shock settings, but it's there. It's more noticeable if you are in fact doing "sport" driving. Try finding a bumpy road and hit it hard in tour, then do the same in sport. You should be able to feel and in some cases hear the difference. This old GM video towards the end shows two C-5's on the same test road, and you can see the difference. The test strip has a pretty extreme bump, I'd hate to hit one as hard as they do in the video!
Honestly, if you have an F55 suspension ... it's been 16-17 years since it rolled off the line. Those shocks do not live forever. Mine were pretty much crap when I replaced them two years ago.
