I had U GOT BIT on my Cobra. My first plate on my Vette was SHUT U DN, but I recently changed it to SPRAYED. This is the plate on my daily driver and the one that means the most to me.
Funniest plate I ever saw was on an older Bentley coupe about 15 years ago. The message included the license plate surround as well as the plate. Surround read (top) If you can't (bottom) Take a joke. The plate read FAA-QUE. I'm sure that it has long since been recalled by the Virginia DMV.
Only other guitar players would get it. Why not go for the Drop D tuning instead or maybe DADGAD, or any number of other alternate tunings? My personal favorite sounding alternate tuning is 2 down on bass E string and 1 down on the A string. Gives you CGDGBE. Try it and play the C chord with only your first two fingers... a great sounding tuning.
There used to be a dude in Washington about 10 years ago or so that had MLFHNTR on his plates. Needless to say it got taken away after too many complaints. ********.
