Blurry Photobucket pictures are everywhere!
It looks like any and every picture that is from photobucket has been slapped with a giant watermark and is too blurry to even recognize! What gives?

CF was too cheap to host their own photos, so 3rd party sites stepped up. Then, many years later, 3rd party site(s) decided that getting paid for their services sounded like a good idea and flipped the switch. I've been told that there are browser extensions that will fix the issue. But haven't tried yet..

I posted this similar link the other day. In the case of Photobucket it appears that they only provided low res photos (Blurry) for those who exceed the free limit. I'm new to the forum, and have experienced the blurred photos as I race through archives. I especially miss high res photos from some of the major contributors such as Bill Curlee. For people such as Bill who is a moderator and huge tech contributor, I'd have no problem contributing towards his Photobucket fee.

Message from Photobucket, with explanation. https://prnt.sc/p71hi1
I deleted my account with those jerk-offs and went with Imgur. Free hosting and works great.

I deleted all my pics from both PhotoBucket and Tinypic. Decided not to pay them a monthy fee for hosting a few pics.

It'd make more sense for photobucket to do a click through system, where the thumbnails are blurred but if you click through to PB itself, you get some banner ads around the photo but are able to see the true picture, the ads offsetting the hosting cost.
This is just obtuse.
worst part is, there's a ton of pics from folks who no longer use the forums or are no longer with us period so they can't exactly switch image hosts

Rip pb
I noticed the same thing and honestly thought it was my phone.
first I thought “oh I must not be logged in” (which would make sense)
then I thought “maybe I should log in to my PB and it’ll work” (nope!)
soooo now I decided there is absolutely no need for PB whatsoever. This is just their way of screwing people since NO ONE uses their crappy service anymore..
reminds me of say, blockbuster once Netflix came out. They tried all sorts of isht to save their business but ultimately they went under.
BYE PHOTOBUCKET!!! You can photo suck it!!!

Install the Photobucket fix extension for chrome and you see all the pictures without issues or watermarks.

Looks like photobucket has become photophuket. It's a true shame to lose all the pics that are such a valuable reference source in so many threads!

I don't do Photobucket at all. If the photo is theirs, I will by-pass it and try the "other" forum! I hope CF recognizes that and makes changes. If not.... so be it!
