It's all about having fun. You just do whatever makes you feel best and everybody else will be happy for you.

Whatever you LIKE you LIKE. What’s on paper doesn’t even matter. I keep dragging home 20yr old Mustangs; probably tanking at the bottom of the bottom for ‘modern performance’. I couldn’t be happier to have it in my driveway.
I sold my 69, 4 speed, side pipe roadster 2 years ago (which I bought in 1975). Now own a 99, 6 speed roadster. Rust and corrosion issues cannot be overstated on a c3. Mine Was a daily driver in Michigan the first 10 years of its life and finally the bird cage rusted enough my front windshield would move when I grabbed it to get out. The C5 is light years ahead in driving experience. But like what’s been said, the c3 is just cooler.
C-3s look cool, however they are a maintenance money pit.
The same could be said for a C5. Depends on the car you get. I've had several and none of them were money pits. They don't require any more maintenance than a C5. They're just a Chevy after all with nothing exotic about them.

I've had three C5s and 3 C3s, the C5 are nothing compared to a C3. (I still ow 1 C5, I'll Never own another C3.
