Bill I will agree. not much opportunity to hear on on a base C5 in person where I live. All the corvettes are newer than mine and they are far and few . I live in the land of people with way more expendable finds than me. More super cars driving around than old Corvette's I like my car for what it is. But truth be told it's the Prius of this town. LOL.
Also my wife said 35+ years around race cars that I can hear S**t anymore. So you've got that to.
I find that in my 75 years of life.. the secret of life is to be happy.. you are not going to find a more aggressive system without drone on a stock car.. the next level of volume would be to add headers. .
Ummm...yeeeaaahhhhhhh......throw on some long tube headers, a cam and go catless, then come back and tell us how quiet it is. I use to own race cars as well and let me tell you, my c5 is a screamer.
There are other good exhaust system manufacturers out there.. Ive heard most, have done testing on some at GM. before retiring. Corsa has not disappointed too many people over 20 years.
I agree with ET that sound is very subjective. I put the Corsa Indy Pace car exhaust and Xpipe on mine almost 16 years ago and I found the sound to be way better than stock. I still love hearing it every time I drive her. It could be that you may need headers to help bring out more sound or just more time with the exhaust on the car to let it break in.
