Default Remote High Speed Fan Controller

I came across this product while looking for solutions to some additional cooling since I installed a front splitter. In theory it seems like a great idea, and your system still retains your factory fan settings as well. I haven't had enough opportunity to test it in practice yet, but it sure can't hurt.

This has been around for a C5 for about 15 years. The original is called a Da Vinci fan controller. You have to be very careful with a fan controller. Since the OEM fans are designed to cycle on and off.. With a CE certification of 180,000 cycles. If you over ride the system and allow the fans to run without cycle control, you will burn up the fans..

These controllers are designed to work with a lower thermostat with a radiator probe. You DO NOT want to Have the fans running all the time.
Just a heads up

I've been known to get something wrong every now and again. It's all a leaning process. I'm glad we have this community to learn from each other.

Hi,
Its actually harder on the fan motors to be cycling on/of constantly like when you are in traffic, then to have them come on and just run for a while.
That way it doesn't use up as much of the the 180,000 Cycles. Its a lot of strain on the fan motors getting those fans up to speed.

Thank you,
Christian
