My 2004 C5 coupe came with memory seats and mirrors options. I've replaced the power seats with manual rails and would like to get rid of the memory mirror function ("convert" to basic power mirrors). It seems there's two versions of the driver's side door switch set, one with memory and one without. Does the switch have anything to do with the actual "memory" operation/would swapping a non-memory switch in delete the memory functionality or would the memory still "work" and I not the "memory" buttons?
It seems odd that the memory version goes for $100 and the non-memory version is $300.
edit: Side question, how do I get the BCM to stop looking for the driver's seat memory module? Is it a setting/RPO code in the BCM that needs to be turned off?
