Improve how? My car has hydrodipped fuel rail covers (I wouldn't have done it) and a cold air intake. Most of the "improvements" people make to the underhood of these cars looks really tacky, but that's just my opinion.
Looking for inspiration on ways to improve the appearance of the engine bay.!
Just clean it. Keep the plastic and rubber dressed with protectant. All I did was remove all the eyesore safety decals and such. In fact, the only reason my FRCs are hydro-dipped is because I didn't want the OEM red covers on my blue car. Clean is mean.
Josh wins....did the same wiht my old schooler too every damn piece even under the car.
What can you do with plastic? Cover it with plastic? Rattle can? Cheap chrome stuff?
Some people like the classic look and some don't. It's been discussed on this Forum many times over the years. I get nothing but complements at the shows and most importantly, I enjoy it! It's my C5 tribute my C2...
Personally, I think the fuel rail covers look cheap whether they’re painted or not. But to each their own! I simply relocated/deleted some things in the midst of adding performance modifications. FAST 92mm intake, FAST fuel rails, LS2 TB, and a ton of other goodies going on this Winter while I do heads/cam.

I plan on dressing up my engine bay. IMO, the C5 has way too much plastic under the hood. Things like a chrome top radiator cover, chrome caps, battery cover, chrome alternator, body colored fuel rail covers, etc, all make the engine bay more presentable...
