Hello,
i purchased a second set of rear 04 Z06 speedlines to run a squared setup for SCCA Autocross events. I’m new to it and am confused as the car is completely stock at the moment so I run AS.
What class / competition would I be in if I ran the squared setup?
Z06 suffers some really terrible classing in SCCA autocross. There's no street touring class it can go to so if you change front wheel width at all you're going to CAM-S or SSP.
if you are stock, you don't have the suspension to really benefit from having a square set-up. And you could over work the power steering. On the other hand, if you stay with stock 265/275 on the 18's and you'er not killing everyone in class, you could get away with them until some winer protest you. I would recommend spending your money on good shocks, tires, and alignment. As noted the C5's are so potent that they have been classed out of what was their competitive classes.
