Default New Vette

I've seen two new mid engine Vette's on US127 (south of Lansing, MI), the last two days.

First one was black and heading the other way. Today, I had a white one merge in front of me.

Very futuristic looking, rear end is wider but unmistakably still a Corvette.

funny that I was talking to my buddy on the phone who's a GM Engineer and gets to drive a lot of Vette's. He was talking about all the cutting edge technology but then relented that in 20 years it will seem old like my 2000 C5 is now.

But man, I dooo love driving my C5.

Time marches on and so does improvements in design, performance and technology. But nothing wrong with enjoying a C5 - it is a fine car.

Sometimes old works out to be very cool down the road. In the Corvette world look what happened with C2 vettes. Extremely desireable with many fetching prices near, at, or beyond $100,000. I'm still looking for that old and very outdated '67 big block 4spd air coupe with side exhaust and alloys. Old, but very, very cool!!!

I will never sell my C5 but I am looking at C8. In 2 or 3 years there will be a electric C8.
Maybe I will buy one of those. Everyone knows its coming , that is why the UAW is
striking.

An electric Vette? I hope it comes with a recording you can play of the sound of a big V-8.

The UAW is striking because there’s an electric C8 in the future?

I don't get that either. I recently upgraded from C5 to C7, just like modern and not disappointed.

No. Because $65.00 an hour is not enough.
