Shocks/Strut/Spring
It's a base convertible and confident it's got the base suspension.
Will be getting the C6 Z51's.
Now that I'm going with the C6 Z51, is there really any need to replace the end links?
By using the stock end links am I defeating the purpose of the upgraded sways.?
For me, I do like the idea of hopefully solving my soft ride with doing only the sways. Found C6 Z51 sways for about $325 & Hotchkiss for around $100 more.
My new question is, is it worth spending the extra $100? The Hotchkiss are substantially thicker then the Z51. But does it really matter & will the ride quality/handling be worth the extra $100?
If these sways give me the ride I’m looking for I’ll do the same on the CTS.
As to the extra $100... FWIW, I just can't imagine a road vehicle would show the difference between the two. If you were tracking it, another story. But that's just my own uninformed opinion.
As to the Aldens... On continuous pavement, GREAT shock. On asphalt/pavement that could be fractured... not the right tool for the job. And GREAT company to deal with.

The end links on the base c5 are plastic and are prone to break with miles and use. The C5Z end links on o4 were metal and will hold up much better
