How much do you trust the odometer
An eBay search for "odometer correction" shows what is available and what a HUGE business this is. There is a youtube video showing a 2006 chevy pickup (same basic ecu as a C5) being reset in <30 seconds. Almost every low mileage car I have looked at just doesn't add up. There are huge gaps and huge profits to be made if they make the mileage fit the Carfax.
Here is a report on a car I was very interested in, advertised as 13k miles. Note the few records are in round numbers. 4 owners and 13k? Also the driver's seat back seam is starting to split where they all do. At about 70k.

Maybe I am blowing this out of proportion. I am willing to pay a premium for a low mile car. But is it really? Most Corvettes hide their mileage well.
OTOH this one has enough entries to be probably accurate, but more mileage than I wanted and an accident.
