Default Water on Windshield?

I'm having an unsually problem. Whenever I accelerate very fast, really going thru the gears I get a small amount of water on the drivers side of the windshield. Its coming from under the hood. At first I thought it was residual water from washing the car. However, even weeks after the car gets wet I still have the problem. And it's not fluid from the radiator, Its clear. Does anyone else have this problem?

I haven't noticed this happening to mine yet. It's windshield washer fluid leaking out.

It's washer fluid, during hard acceleration it makes enough fluid pressure to force a little out the drivers side squirter.
You can fix it but it takes a Ford vacum check valve to do it, install it on the fluid out line under the washer bottle arrow away from the bottle and its fixed. :smash:

Greg,
this will eventually discolor your hood felt.........
Get a turkey baster, and remove approx 1/2 of the washer fluid...........
Do not run it empty........or it will freeze up, and ruin your washer motor........
My '01, used to give my car a bath in every gear( thru 4th) at WOT........... ;)

I did the same thing, removed 1/2 the fluid with my turkey baster (which doubles as the clutch and break fluid removing tool as well), no more problems with WW fluid :)

Dealer replaced check valve under warranty. Just told dealer that under hard acceleration drivers side washer squirts - tell them tech assist knows of new check valve.

Here's the code from my repair order if that helps.
-------------------------------------------------
N3860 .3.A.3 Diag and Replace Check Valve Per Tech Assist.

I installed Ford check valves, they are a pain to install in the cold, but they stop the washer fluid on the windshield.
