It doesn’t look broken, only chipped. It’s a little tricky to get those out. I’ve found that once the screw driver is in the tab, push up rather firmly before you start turning the tab. That will relieve the “pressure”. The tab only needs to move slightly and it will drop out easily. That plastic tab is what needs to turn slightly. Some videos suggest using the arm as leverage, but that didn’t work for me. The arm swivel has nothing to do with moving that tab.

ended up drilling a hole through it and stick a screwdriver up in there. Not the best course of action but mirror is broken anyway so whatever!
You don't turn the bezel with the screwdriver. The screw driver locks the bezel to the shaft and the shaft turns the bezel. Comes out so easy. Not tricky at all.
Screw driver helps turn the bezel. Otherwise there’s nothing to grab on to.
Like I said, the screwdriver connects the bezel to the shaft. Then you use the visor to turn the shaft and bezel and it falls right out. Takes 2 seconds. If you try to turn the screw driver you will strip out the bezel just like the OP. I replaced my visors and they popped right out.
Strange. Mine didn’t work like that at all. You must be smartur then me!
I doubt it. I wouldn't have had a clue how to do it until I asked around, did some research and watched a video. I wasn't looking forward to changing visors, but it turned out to be an easy 10 minute job.
Believe it or not I didn’t turn the screwdriver at all. I used the elbow of the mirror for leverage but it snapped the tab out. 20 YO plastic ha! But for future reference I drilled a small hole where the tab was, put a smaller diameter star shape screw driver in there and used the leverage trick again. Worked! I then capped off the holes and voila no more shitty visors in my field of vision!
From service manual. Follow these instructions and you should have no problem. Make sure you use a screw driver that is big enough. I didn't make this stuff up. Or you can do it any way you want or try to turn bezel with screw driver and mess up the bezel. I did it this way with no problems and it took 10 minutes to change both visors.
