Default C5 "cup holder"

OK, new owner here!

What is your most creative use of the cup holder? It is hilarious that they even included it!

Works fine for me. Just have to put a finger on the cup when turning.

I actually have a Contigo coffee mug that fits it great. For spirited driving, I leave the fluids at home.

It would be a good place to put the Weather Tech cell phone holder...I can't imagine it's much good for holding drinks...

Welcome to the C5 crowd!
I have my Stereo I-Phone Charger Adapter coming through the Ash Tray/Lighter Cubby and it works nicely as a Cell Phone Holder (albiet upside down )

Never had a problem with the cupholder holding a cup in place when I had my C5s. I just did not buy the supersized cups that were incredibly top heavy, which increased the likehood of spilling a drink all over the place.

I put my garage door opener there, though that's not particularly creative.

It's where my iPod cord lives nicely coiled up with the lid closed when it's not being used.

That's what I am going to do. I have a Weather Tech cell phone holder on order. I drink bottled water with a lid when driving my Vette.

Hope this helps.

That's the one I use. Everyone looks for a holder to fit but the YETI is cup that fits tight.

Someone wrote that the weather tech cup phone holder does not fit well because of the lid (I do not know this first hand).
I use the cup holder as a place to put spare change.

here is a great "mod" for holding your cup- https://corvetteclips.com/shop/corve...-classic-34dhn

They make some really nice pieces for your C5, including a sun visor delete kit and stay-in-place door panel clips. I have their products in my Vette and am very happy with them.
Hope this helps!

This is what I have. It works very well with any size cup and has a phone pocket. Fits snuggly in the ashtray well (after removing the ashtray). Not sure how it would work with a 6sp.

I use for garage opener, but might try that Yeti, although I don't drive it much, especially with a drink. Can you shift into 5th/reverse with it in place OK?
I did bring a Contigo recently, and had no place to put it. I have the partition tray in the back of the Z, but was too big for the holes, plus hard to reach.

I daily my Z06, coffee makes the morning drive that much better. Reverse is close to the Yeti, no problem with the forward gears.
