Well, this has been driving me insane. Purchasing a 2003 Torch Red ZO6, which comes with the stock painted C5 Speedlines - 17" Fr/18" RR.
I prefer either a square 19" setup, or 18" FR/19" RR. I have not been able to find the C5 (not C6) Speedlines in Chrome (or painted for that matter), in anything other than 17's or 18's, but one of you sharp guys please look at this video, and tell me this car doesn't have an 18/19 setup (of C5 Speedlines) or larger. Thanks!
Michael,
I’m interested in the C5 ZO6 Speedlines in chrome. I only see 17’s and 18’s for sale, whether they are OEM or replicas.
However, after viewing that video, I’m stumped. Those wheels are obviously larger....
i’d like to find 19’s
I’m running polished Z06/Z16 18’s on all 4 corners of my 04 Commemorative Z06. All 4 are rear tire sizes of 295/35/18. The fronts will poke out slightly due to the offset, but it’s not terrible. You can always tuck the tops in a little with a negative camber setting in an alignment.
I have zero active handling or traction control issues with all 4 tires the same size. In fact, the car does not wander as much as it did with the 17’s on it.
Great option, and you can purchase a set of rear 18’s painted from forum vendor “House of Wheels”. The polished versions are very hard to find.
Thanks for your comment. I actually spoke with Bob at House of Wheels today. He also recommended running 18 X 10.5 on all four corners, with a 265/35/18 on front and a 295 or 305/35/18 on back. He has those 18 X 10.5's in stock.
I prefer the polished look, but may settle for the four painted 18"ers.
Your polished wheels came standard with the CE, correct?

Offset question - I see the factory wheels had an offset of 54 front and 58 rear. I came across some 18 x 10.5 wheels with a 58 offset. What does that 58 offset translate to if it's installed on the front? What tire size to run with that? Would an 18 x 9.5 with a 56 offset be a better fit for the front? Not a fan of poking out past the wheel wells....ok, maybe just a hair....

Those 18x10.5 rears with +58 offset are the oem C5Z fitment. You can also run them on the front, if you don't mind a little poke. A 9.5" width front with +54 offset is an oem C5 fitment and should fit, fine.
A 285 tire is a max fitment on a 9.5" width wheel, a 315 is a max fitment on a 10.5" width wheel.
My 18x9.5 CCW's have a +48 offset and fit flush, with a 265/35/18 tire.
Our '04 FRC Le Mans ZO6 has Satin Wheels and Caps.. I'm been looking for a spare set for several years, Zip...
A lot of variations
Michael
I searched long and hard for a mint spare set, and they were not cheap when I found them. I did have them for sale about a month ago until I decided to run square setup in my Z with them. I paid $1150 plus and additional $200 shipping, it’s funny how many low ball offers I received for them being so hard to find. Was just looking to get back what I paid for them. Good luck on your search!

a 265 front is pretty narrow for a 10.5 rim and depending on the tire, it may have that stretched look where the tire rolls inward at the sidewall due to rim width. On my previous 01 Z, I ran 4 18s and a 285/35/18 F and 295/35/18 R. Not sure I’d go less than a 275 on that wheel. Food for thought...

byte me,, ha luv that I'll double to word 7d4 is a great car.
I was considering a painted ZO6 set and then strip the paint off. But I had tried this with a pair C5 Thin spoke set that I had powder coated gloss black for my '37 Coupe build. Getting the paint off was a difficult task, but eventually worth the effort. Don't think I'll do that again. Look great in he end.
However getting the clear coat of a full set of the thin spoke version was amazing easy and I only used about a half gallon of stripper. What was surprising is that the wheels looked like they wee just polished, the stripper did not dull the aluminum.
There used to be 19x11 C5Z repros, but they were discontinued more than a decade ago and they are really hard to find. I have wanted a set, and they pop up for sale on the forum here once in a while, but they sell quickly and I always miss the chance.
