Finished up a complete brake flush on my car and now all four wheels are tough to turn. I didn't try spinning them before I started so I have nothing to compare it too. Any ideas? Thanks Scott
How many revolutions? Plus I'm getting what sounds like brake drag. I took off the rear caliper and no change. I'm going to take off the front caliper and see what I have there. I pumped on the brake and it's solid BUT it has very little travel before it gets firm.
I changed brakes in my car and the front brakes were dragging. It turned out that the calipers were sticking. Changed them out and no more dragging. I think you can get corrosion on the caliper and or piston and when you push the pistons back in they can start to drag. Maybe pumping contaminated fluid may have pushed crud into the piston area causing it to stick. Never had all four piston do it, but I guess it's possible.

No dragging or sound of dragging before I did the flush. I'm going to change out all my pads next week. I may take the caliper off one of the front rotors and see what I get with that.
So as it turns out the calipers had pushed the pistons till they were dragging on the rotors. I pulled the calipers off...problem solved. The rear apparently is not supposed to free spin as it's the drive axle and there is more resistance. At least that's my theory based on everything I read.
Maybe the drag would have sorted itself out after a short drive. Of course when your dealing with brakes that first drive has to be a careful one if you're not sure what you're gonna get. My driveway is a pretty steep hill and I have to back out.
