I got the C6 Z51 sway bars and bought new end links even though the ones on there were just a couple years old. Went on easy, I had the car up on my recently purchased Quickjack. They are much beefier than stock sways. Also painted my rotor hubs and calipers. Did the anti-venom mod while I had it up. Haven't been able to drive it yet due to still waiting on my new CCW's I ordered. I've already sold my old wheels and tires hence not being able to test things out.
I also have a '99 convertible with C6 Z51 sway bars several years ago. I got mine used on this forum. I broke one of the OEM plastic end links and replaced all four with the metal ones, which got me thinking about the sway bars so I kept an eye on the for sale section. Ended up also putting on C6 Z06 shocks to replace the original F45 system.
Good luck with your setup!

Zig - I'm in Wakefield, when I bought my 2000 coupe in 2016 the first thing I did was flip the sway bars over to the C6Z config with the HD end links. You'll enjoy it!
I've been looking around for replacement front and rear sway bars for my 99 vert.'Nothing over the top but a nice upgrade. I have C6 Z06 shocks and metal end links about 3 years old. Suggestions please for sway bars.
I only used pfadt on my vert. Originally the Yellow JOC and now their race version.
Buy what you think will be best for your driving habits and or vehicle purpose.

Thanks, ever go to Kitty's restaurant in North Reading on thursdays ?
Just put in an order for C6 Z51 front and rear sway with metal end links and Z06 shocks for my 2002 coupe from Cultrag. I was wondering though, will this sway bar and shock setup be okay with stock springs? Eventually I would replace with C5 Z06 springs, but dont want to make the wife too upset buying nonstop parts lol. Just planning on street driving this year, once I'm confident the car is where it needs to be next year I'm going to start HPDE. I bough it much more than gently used a month ago, and its been an adventure getting it reasonably able to drive correctly (water pump, thermostat, coolant temp sensor, hvac line off map sensor, fan relays, bad battery draw, ect). In Holden, MA relatively nearby you ZigZag and Dave C.
This is what I did for the set-up on my 04 stick vert. Street and no tracking in the selection of parts. Keep in mind that suspension geometry/ratios must be kept relatively proportionate to spec in order to prevent understeer/oversteer concerns. I assembled the following for my car and it handles very well for a Vert: C6 base wheels (I am not going to disclose my tire choice as your thread will get hijacked) C6 Z06 shocks (AC Delco) C6 Z51 front spring C5 Z51 rear spring C5 Z06 front sway bar C6 Z51 rear sway bar Poly bushings Metal end links (if not already equipped)
I sourced the wheels, springs, and sways used. The shocks and end links were new.

My car has 133,000 miles and on stock springs so no need to worry.
