Default C5 udders

I just realized I'm missing one of the smaller udders on my 2000. Is this going to cause any major leaks or problems?
I read where someone actually removed them entirely but I figure they're there for a good reason.

There are many ways a mouse can get in, a missing udder is one.

Yes...they are needed so C5 owners can be milked out of their money

Actually they let water drain while catching trash...good idea to get one and put it on

I threw all 3 of mine out in the trash after they plugged and flooded my motor first time....then they even did it again to me after I cut the ends off! Now gone it drains perfect in heavy rain!

As U know there are 4, 3 on drivers side and one on passenger side. Not sure where a mouse could go if they got into that area but who knows. I don't think it would hurt to have one removed, just makes it easier for water to drain and if you are like me no leaves every get in my car the way I care for it. Prob. a cheap purchase so if I could find one I would replace it.

So would removing the udders improve or impede drainage? And what could possibly be damaged by removal?

Improve if left off, no restriction, water runs straight out of that area w/o going through udder. Only damage would be a clear path for mouse intrusion into that area and not sure what area they could go from there.

I would never remove the passenger side udder. That is clearly taking the water from the top to the bottom of the wiring and PCM. If you remove that, then water will be getting all over everything.
If you inspect & clean udders once a year, this should not be an issue and no need for removal.
