Default C5 Memory

The memory on my car seems to work / not work intermittently.
Open the door - get in - fasten seat belt - put in the key - close the door- put key in the ignition- push in clutch - turn key. Now the memory (seat) either works or not. I've tried turning over the key and altering the above order. But can't seem to get the pattern. Any ideas??

When you exit and close the door after driving, do you hit the power lock button on the key fob to lock and engage the alarm. You have to do that everytime you shut off the engine, exit the car. If not, it will not work when you get in and turn the key to "ignition."

The (Matia) Dealer just got back to me. They want to replace the seat module about $700. Let you know if it works
