I am not crazy about the color( I have one))
But the lady's seem to go crazy about it.
Nice ride..........
not my favourite either. I would have loved a black or yellow vette. But the price was the reason I didnt really care... + I ll make her look sharp.
Getting parts ready to drop at the shop
Wheels are here
18x10.5 square C7z06 Style in satin black
F: 285/35 . R: 295/40 Nittos with the suspension upgrade of new C6Z06 shocks it should handle decent
PS in the back is my 72 Skylark pro-touring Lq9 project.
( doing to much , as always lol)
to maintain the vette stance with wheel height and diameter
It should handle
Wait, those specs put the outside dia of the front at 25.9", and the rear at 27.3". This is 1.4" larger on the rear. Is this correct amount you were targeting? I thought front and rear were more even...like 245/45/17 @ 25.7, and 275/40/17 @ 25.7.....(stock C5). I imagine the Z's are similar..
Also will it not/hasn't work to run a 295/40 or 295/35 on all 4? Just wondering because fully square setups aren't very uncommon..
Well the rears can fit bigger tires than the fronts of course.
to be honest I got the 285/35 for a really good deal and I like the staggered tire look. I think it will work fine. The wheel is still square arround with 10.5"

The wheels however don't effect, triggering the traction control adversely is what I'm talking about, however I do not know how close it should be. Yours seems like a lot.
Nothing inherently wrong with a wider tire on back, but odd diff tire on same rim.

I was more concerned with the height and that's gonna be 1.2" by calculator in reality they dont look much smaller width or height!
Prep and paint of the ebay Duckbill spoiler.
I didnt expect high quality when ordering a 80$ spoiler and I'm not a body guy. So it needed some filler sanding glazing paint wet sanding and more paint.
I hope it kinda fits well..lol

I see what you're talking about, they are somewhat close. So be it, good luck.

I just realized you have 6 liters of displacement, that should absorb some of the 'size' of that cam, one nice formidable street/track package.
Interested in how the converter works with the transmission on the street with this setup - should totally hustle!
yea it's a 6L should do pretty good.
I saw some cosmetic issues with the passenger side front fender. So I want to find a used "pewit" fender in good condition sooner or later

You may have an issue with the height of the rear wheels if you lower the car. I had 305/35/19's on mine (27.4") and they rubbed the front of the wheel well, you will be at 27.1". The C5 rear wheels are not centered in the wheel arch, they are approximately 1/4" forward. I switched to 325/30/19's which are 26.7" and that alleviated the problem. FYI, I have 275/35/19's up front which are 26.6" and have no issue, even though they are 1" taller than stock. You can program in the tire diameter with a tuner, this is how you correct the speedometer, but also resolves abs with the differentiation in stock tire diameters.

Yes I dont look for a much lowered rear if the wheels fill out the space it's more drivable then anyways. I like the look of some meats in the wheel arches
Yes the tire size will be tuned into my tune of course
