Due to a lucky find on E-Bay I was able to source a brand new set of SLP PowerFlo mufflers, and due to a really great member here I was also able to get the beautiful big cast aluminum tip - brand new, still in the box. I'm still looking for a set of correct over-axle pipes, but for now it's connected to the (modified) stock pipes. With the FRC and a thick divider for the trunk interior noise is minimal. It does sound great with the windows down! IT's not a screaming banshee, but it sure has an aggressive snarl. When I have more time I'll get a better, longer video with some in-car time as well.
I have the same exhaust on my 2000 Coupe. The pipes are close enough to my lower bumper lip that they have melted it just a little bit. I bought some foil butyl tape (Home Depot/Lowes, used for HVAC ducts) to protect the lower lip from any additional damage. I LOVE the exhaust with my Kooks headers and catted mid pipes. It turned out quieter than I expected and hoped. But it really rips when you are laying into the higher RPMs.
I always liked the unique look of the SLP Powerflo Exhaust Outlet.
My Uncle had them on his heads/cam '02 Z06 with TPIS Long Tube headers high flow cats and they would really scream.
I wish I could find such tips around here to get rid of mine...I like the recess position. Can one of you take a pict from underneath and from the side?

Can we assume that the car is otherwise stock? I like the sound, and it's quieter than I thought it would be; almost like stock ZO6 Ti with headers. Magnaflow has a deeper tone on a stock exhaust system, but also has a bit of the drone.

Certainly. I'll get a few pictures for you. It's really a pretty complex part. The stainless inlets are ribbed from what I can see so they are retained by the aluminum cast around them, which is quite thick there.
