This morning my 1999 FRC's battery was almost dead after sitting less than a week, very unusual. I charged the battery, started, ran it for a few minutes, then shut it off. Now there is a (not very loud) whooping sound inside the car, but not under the hood. It whoops maybe 2-3 times a second. It does it with the key on or off and with it out. I've never heard of this. When you say you charged it, what exactly does that mean? did you use a charger??/ more than 1.5 amps...and not a float tender....and if so, did you do it while the battery was connected to the car via B+ and a negative connection to the battery..

Yes, charged 100 %. I pulled it into my shop today, removed the front bumper cover for repaint. During the prosses the whooping stopped. I have no idea what to make of that. Thanks for the reply.
