Default LQ4 Questions

Forgive me if this question has been asked and answered before. I've searched and searched and can't find the answer that I am looking for. I'm considering a LQ4 swap in my 2000 with the intent of eventually going FI. My questions are what if any supporting suspension mods to I need to make to handle the weight difference, and what will the difference in handling be? Again, I am sorry if I'm rehashing already answered questions, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Thoughts?

Use Google search. I just typed in Corvette C5 LQ4 swap and a pile of stuff came back - some from this forum. Search function here is pretty simplistic.

I know that the swap has been done, and that there is a ton of information out there about it. I have been unable to find information pertaining to the specific question that I asked which was whether or not suspension upgrades were necessary to facilitate the swap, or if there were any negative handling characteristics from using the stock suspension set up that I should know about. I know that there are some that have done suspension upgrades and some that haven't. I was looking for information and pros/cons to either scenario.

It's like a 100 pound difference.

Wouldn't be worried at all.

the difference is about 100 pounds, i think the car will be fine you just might have to adjust the height to get it back to stock if thats what you want or just leave it as is might sit just a touch lower
