Can someone tell me if i can take a set of factory 2006 c6 z06 wheels and put on my 2002 z06. Any help would be great. Just bought my first corvette so I am new to the game.

here's how mine looks for reference. the poke is a bit much for me to be honest. the front fit is nice and flush, really it's just the rears that arent ideal. I think some like the somewhat old-school muscle look to it. I hope to address the setup it when it comes time to change tires but for now, it's acceptable and not offensive. sorry for the photobomb, but this should give you some reference.
I wonder if anyone has ever tried to machine material off the flange mounting surface on a C6 Z wheel to bring it inward? Not sure of clearance on the caliper but I would think there would be plenty of room for clearance.
* obviously this would need to be done a machine shop but very easy and do able with access to a Bridgeport, Boring Mill or any CNC mill with adequate mounting space.

A 10mm to 16mm cut might be a pretty large amount, to machine off.
Going with a 265 front tire would offer a noticeable reduction, in poke.

The problem.you will run into there is rubbing on the inner fender.
The rear wheels will definately rub if they were brought in much at all as there isn't much space between the tire and the inner fender.
I'm not sure about the front but I would think they might rub too if anything was taken off. My front will slightly rub at full steering lock as it is.
As USAZR1 said, going to a 265/35R18 in the front will help it poke slightly less in the front.
Good info, I have c6z comp grey wheels and been debating on what size tires to go with. I dont want to do wide fenders. But i need some tires with grip, because of 600+ whp NA. I'm thinking 325/30/19 in the Toyo R888R for the rear. What does everyone think, or should i try to run a 30/30/19 in the rear. Thank you

Toyo r888r's run really wide, in tread width. A 325/30/19 or a 305/30/19 in that tire are both going to poke, the 325 more so. If you don't mind about an inch poke, I'd probably go with the 325's, with your power level.
