Default Thoughts on this cam package?

LS Corvette- $2399.99

LS Cam packages include:
LMT Custom Camshaft
LMT Hardened Pushrods
Brian Tooley Racing Spring Kit (cams up to .660 lift)
GM Crank Seal, Water Pump Gaskets, Front Cover
Melling High Volume Oil Pump
LS2 Timing chain
GM Crank Bolt
NGK Spark plugs
Oil Change and Filter
Professional Installation
Dyno Tune with Before and After Graphs

A performance shop in my area is currently running this cam package deal. Looking for others opinion on this. I would also be buying BTR trunnion upgrade. Is this actually a “deal”? Anything else I should look to
upgrade while I’m in there? Currently have a Varram, Kooks long tubes that will be installed at the same time and a Corsa extreme already on. I know it’s hard to say but any ideas what kind of gains I would see from this? Thanks in advance.

I've seen less expensive packages, but it's not a ripoff. If you still have the stock clutch, it'll be next. I would suggest the BTR2 (I think) that's 227-234@113 for an easy going cam that'll give you a nice bump.

Harmonic balancer? I mean, you're right there, and they do have a reputation for failure.

Yeah splurge for the ATI underdrive dampener, otherwise looks great.
Lots of options on custom cam specs, talk to the Tuner about your goals, can compare it to BTR Stage I, II, III

honestly at that price save a little more and go with a SC setup. Make some real gains.

I’m starting to think this might be the best choice.

I would still think about the headers, valve springs, pushrods, trunnions and a balancer with a SC install. And with all of that and since you're right there...a baby blower cam. You'll still need that clutch... The madness

Just as an opinion from recent work done. Unless you just WANT the dual VS then look at upgrade beehive as they are easier on the valve train.

If you are gonna do a SC then just freshening up the valve train and a damper would be a great idea and might as well throw in a small blow cam grind.

but for the cam, lts, cold air, and tune....be close to or a smidge over 430 to the tire and about 415-20s torque...

Yeah I say go do the cam and valvetrain 1st, but use a blower cam. Then later on when you can afford, actually do the blower. This will keep required boost down at the minimal level for your power goals.

That's a lot, but it's also a lot of parts and work to be done. I didn't go through and try to estimate it though, lol. It's def going to be beast, esp with that Stage III cam with all the other supporting parts, will like to rev high and strong..
