Ok here's my question, been reading a lot about Harmonic balancers, I have an 04 cionvertible with 32000 miles. How do I know if I need to replace this?? or when do I need to replace it?? THANKS
Another sign is if the serpentine belt slips on the idler pulley. I also have a '04 vert (45K) and did not notice any wobble at idle. Then my belt came about 1/2 off of my idler pulley. Put it back on and took it to my go-to- mechanic. He tested the HB by running the RPMs much higher than at idle. Then I saw the wobble.

Oh yeah good mention about the idler I forgot about that. I actually threw the belt off once at an autocross before I replaced my damper. Never again afterwards.
everything is expensive with these cars. As soon as Wuhan flu is over mine is getting its sign.
Oh man you playin! C5 is bottom dollar cheap performance. I've owned my 2001 911 Turbo for 3 months and it has already cost me more than I have to put in the corvette in a copule years.
