Default Modern motion

so I've had it in the back of my mind that I want to do something to my car. So having a passion for older cars i think this will be cool. Having renders done before I start to make sure I can pull it off and give the impression of a modern day Baldwin motion corvette.
some of you young guys may not know what I'm even talking about
Rendering coming soon

I think it would look good. Post up what you do.

I keep thinking about selling my C5 and getting another C3. That one you showed looks great except for the ugly wheel/tire combo.

I think the idea of a retro-theme can be pulled off when you take the time to plan it all out, which you obviously are doing.
Go for it and honor those C3 predecessors!

I've actually had the exact same thoughts about my 2000 Coupe. I look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Will be real interesting to see what you come up with, especially the stripes on the rear of the car.

Well I started this thread a while back. I have several post about this build scattered all over so I want to get them all in one place.
After alot if back and forth on the paint scheme I have come to the conclusion that my car is just to short in the *** end with the coupe glass to pull of the paint scheme I first thought about.
First thing I wanted to do is get the car to set right. After looking at several other cars I choose to go with Silvers coilovers. With upgraded swift springs. 562lb in front and 652 in the rear.
new wheels and tires are on the way as well Forgstar F14s I. Satin bronze. Yes bronze on a yellow car. I have seen this combination on a Lamborghini. It looks killer.
next up i wanted to break up some of the yellow up front.. seems like just to much for me..
added track spec hood vents but just not enough color change and need to pull in the bronze for the wheels.
So I have a house of kolors black gold on the way.
I have built .built hundreds of custom cars in my life. Up until 3 years ago I owned a hotrod shop that catered to high end builds.
so I'm not surprised when people just can't wrap there head around some of my color choices. Trust me it will all come together in the end.
So much planned for the next several months to get this thing looking the way I want.

I. House the Silvers coilovers because I can adjust ride height without loosing preload on the springs. A really nice featuring.

Mock up looks pretty good. Vents are just sitting in the cutouts of the hood. So they will conform to the hood contour when bolted down.

Well no surprise the factory just painted enough so the hood pad would cover the rest. So that needed to be corrected since I won't be using a hood pad.

Top side is no different. Looks pretty good but not exactly straight as I needs to be. So guide coat was added and blocked straight with 320.

Clear is not completely flashed yet in this picture. But I wanted it to match the rest of the engine compartment. I use black with gold pearl added and a eggshell clear. Like this better than just satin black.
