Dropped by my friends shop today, and he had a 2002 triple black vert with only 5000 miles on it up on his lift. He said the owner said it had bit of a 'leaky butt' and John was fixing that up. It looks Brand new on the undercarriage, amazing car. It had after market exhaust, and C-6 wheels, other than that it was factory new. I forgot to mention, it is a 6 speed.
Some guys just like knowing they have a low mile car in the garage. I too don't get it but we are all wrapped differently. Got a buddy that has a 19 Z06 that has about 70 miles on it.
I don’t get it either but I’m glad it happens. It allowed me to pick up an 01 vert with 3600 miles on it last August. It’s not my daily driver but I will certainly put more miles on it than that in the next 20 years.
I'd be concerned with more than just a leaky butt. Most of the seals are going to be dry and prone to leaks even if it were run every so often in the garage

Yes, those low mileage garage queens are out there. I guess I can’t say much as I only have 4500 miles in my ‘14. Some people just get enjoyment from owing a Vette with occasional driving while others drive the heck out of them. Nothing really wrong with either approach to me.
