Default ISB Package

I am looking at two 2004 Corvette Convertible - One advertises the 1SB package and the other does not. My question is the 1SB package an Upgrade option? The price difference is $1500 and the higher priced one has about 20K more miles on it and includes the 1SB package. I am somewhat confused about what all the 1SB includes and is it worth the additional dollars. Any input at all will help. Thanks in advance.

Vettefacts .com has the info you want. The 1SB option in 04 was $1200. Click on C5 1997-2004 on left side of page. Good Luck

Memory seats, power telescope (manual tilt) wheel, heads up display, auto-dimming mirrors, twilight sentinel = 1SB

Definitely. I quite like my Heads Up Display. The rest of it I'm not really fussed about having, but I'd have paid the price at the time when these were new just for the HUD, I think.

My memory seats work just fine, same with my HUD and autodimming mirrors and twilight sentinel and my car has way more miles than anyone in this thread I can almost guarantee.

Lots of dramatic folk in the Corvette world... lol

20 year old cars have 20 year old car problems. That's why forums like this exist in the first place.

My wife is almost a foot shorter than me. It’s pretty nice for her to be able to just push a button and have everything preadjusted fir, same as it is for me when I get back behind the wheel. Never had an issue with this feature in 3 different Corvettes.

As far as twilight sentinel, heads up display, etc., if you never had them you wouldn’t miss them. If you do you will likely enjoy them.

Couldn't have said it better.
If you've ever had to reset your power seat position after someone else drove your car you'll really love that. My daughter and I have completely different driving positions. It's knowing just by using my own key fob everything including temperature controls goes back to my settings just by unlocking the door.👍

Great options for some folks. I haven't changed seat position for 7 years, turned off the twilight sentinel to save the gear in the motor (headlights came up everytime I started the car in the garage),and I don't get all that excited for the HUD or the mirror. I am content with simple things. My favorite car of all time was my 66 Mustang GT. Four speed, four barrel, HiPo 289, AM radio, no power windows brakes steering or anything else. Just fun. I'm from a different time.

If you want a Vette with the 1SB package then go for it . As I always say "Live for today because you don't know what tomorrow can bring". Wish you the best in your search.

The 1SB package was very popular in the C5 and offers some desirable options. I had it on all 3 of the C5s I owned.
