Default Forgestar CF5 Offsets for Z06

Looking for a new set of wheels for my ‘02 MY Z06. Decided I want a lightweight wheel comparable to the stock 17” and 18” OEM Speedlines but don’t want anything that sticks out of the wheel wells. So been thinking about going with TSW Interlagos or Cray Spiders in either 18x9 Frt and 19x10.5 Rr since I know those have zero poke even with 275/305 tires. Thought the machined face/silver looked good.

Then I saw these Forgestar CF5 on a P car and they really caught my eye. Never been a black wheel guy but these looked amazing with the polished lips. I know Forgestars typically have more aggressive offsets which results in poke. But I saw that Forgestar offers the semi-concave in 18x9 w/+16 to +56 offsets and 18x9.5 w/+22 to +62 offsets. Sounds like I could get a custom offset that might work for the fronts. I know Cray offers 18x9 w/+50 offset that would work and the OEM Speedlines in front are 17x9.5 w/+54 offset so the CF5 in 18x9.5 w/+54 would work too.

The problem is with the rears. Forgestar’s deep-concave in a 19” size only comes in either 19x10 w/+16 to +56 or 19x11 w/+29 to +69 offsets. The OEM Speedline rears are 18x10.5 w/+58. So what’s would be the better choice to get in the Forgestars in the rear if I didn’t want any poke since they don’t offer a 19x10.5 with the OEM offsets? Does Forgestar even allow custom offsets or are they mostly stock offsets? TSW or Cray 19x10.5 w/+65 rear wheels seem to provide zero poke based on what I’ve seen.

I think the black (or gun metal gray) CF5 wheels with the polished lip might look really good on my Millenium Yellow Z. For those that have Forgestars, were you able to custom order offsets when you worked with any of the forum vendors? I’m not sure how to figure out the correct offset so I’m hoping CF members might be able to give me some helpful advice.

Really appreciate any feedback you might be able to provide. Thanks!

If you want to go with Forgestars, CCW's, whatever brand, the first thing you need to know is "Will they build the wheels to YOUR Specs", or theirs? Posting available offsets on a website is nice but worthless if they only offer one spec, for your car. I kinda understand why they do this and that's to protect the clueless, from ordering the wrong wheels. However, quite a few of us know exactly what we want and expect to get what we order.

Don't over-think the poke aspect. Negative poke doesn't look good on these cars so either a flush fit or slight poke up to 1/8" looks the best.

If I can help you figure out an optimum offset for your particular application, feel free to drop me an pm, anytime.

Most Forgestar dealers are going to recommend 19x11 +53 or +55 which, with a 305 rear tire, will sit very flush or maybe with a couple mm of poke. There are a lot of pictures of this spec here on the forum. From what I can tell, whether it barely tucks or barely pokes seems to depend on the alignment settings of the individual car.

I had one dealer tell me that they really push for +53 because the flat center cap may not fit over the axle nut with +55. I had never heard that before, not sure if anyone can confirm. I personally plan to order 19x11 +53 as soon as I'm sure I won't be getting furloughed.

Some people have had to grind off a little material, off the ends off the axles, for cap clearance. I know FYARMS did, on his car.

Thanks ... I really appreciate your offer. I'll send you a PM. Would like to hear your experience with Forgestar wheels. Hopefully, it'll help me decide what's the best way to go for my Z06.

Btw, really like what you've done to your ride!
