Default C5 Front Cradle Swap HELP!!!!!!!

Hey guys new to the thread and needed some help. Ive searched up and down all over the web and noticed there's limited to no info on how to safely and properly remove / replace the front suspension cradle. I would like to do the majority of the rebuild myself. Can ANYONE Please give me some advice / tips on how to properly go about this? Any info would be helpful. Please and thank you!

Your best bet is to buy a set of factory service manuals. There’s plenty of misinformation out there, why not get the proper directions from the horses mouth?

For that project I agree. The factory service manuals are for sale occasionally on the parts for sale page and ebay.

I can tell you this....you need to lift the entrie car off the ground and get it on some jack stands....the cradle tself goes in pretty easy...its only 4 bolts....

you will need to find a tool to suspend the motor from the top and your jack stands will need to be under the frame rails in the front obviously, the rear stands you can put under the cradle... an atv jack would be helpful if you happen to have one of those, you could disconnect everything and use that jack to lower it all in one piece and roll it out... it's really not that bad of a job, make sure to get an alignment when you're all done

Do not use an impact wrench on the cradle bolts.
